The route to a successful retirement
Who are you?
What do you have?
What do you want?
Your retirement must be built upon solid foundations. The foundations are determined by who you are; what your obligations to others are; what you want to do in your retirement; and what assets you have. We help you to understand what your foundations are.
How can you best make use of what’s available to you?
Having established your foundations, we explain how best to use the materials that are available to you, and how to avoid costly mistakes that are often made. You select only the content that is applicable to your retirement project.
What can you do?
What can’t you do?
There are regulations that need to be complied with in the case of your retirement. These include taxes, benefits and what you may have to pay for. Here we can help you identify how to make the regulations work for you, and to use them to your advantage.
How will you manage your retirement project? We have sections on how to do it yourself, where trusted, free guidance can be found on how to get the best value from professional advisors, should you need or wish to use one.
We want to help you to have the best retirement that you can
Create your retirement
But this has to be a retirement that is designed for you, by you
Reaching retirement is in itself a significant milestone for most of us. Knowing what to do in Retirement is never easy and navigating through the maze of financial issues that we all have to address is challenging, difficult and not much fun. However, it is essential if you want to avoid pitfalls and be as prepared as you can for the rest of your life. Champion Retirement should be one of those must go to guides to help you plot the rest of your life. It is well written so that the non-technical can understand. Bob Champion, the creator, has many years’ experience working in financial services but his biggest asset and qualification for writing such a guide is Grey Hair! Champion Retirement is the best Map you need to navigate through your retirement years.
Champion Retirement is simply a must-read guide. It’s an invaluable source of information on the main financial issues that need to be considered from middle age onwards. The comprehensive information is simply broken down so that it’s easy to identify what will be relevant to the reader. It’s also written in plain language making it easier for those less familiar with financial matters to understand and use to their advantage.
Like most people you put a little bit in a pension over the years .You get to retirement age and you hit this mine field .Which way do I go? I thought Champion Retirement was a really informative. Using layman’s terms it makes easier to understand a complicated subject. Pointing you in the right direction and making you think, just wish I had accessed it earlier.
Looking at Champion Retirement has sparked my interest in getting up to speed with my retirement planning. “The Foundations” is thought provoking by actually getting you to ask questions such as “do you want to retire” and if so completely or even temporarily. By the conclusion of this section you have a much better understanding of what retirement could look like. “The Materials” is when you really get into the financial stuff but the Retirement Income Pyramid is a great way to bring it all together. By the end of this section I felt I had more confidence to be able to discuss MY requirements with a financial advisor, should I need one.
In summary this website has provided me with a good insight into the unknown world of retirement planning, and can be used as a self-help and reference guide as your personal situation develops before, and during retirement.
